This class is designed to teach students who are brand new to firearms and those seeking to become educated and more confident in handling their firearm. Safety, along with the basic fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and built upon in this important first step class.

Defensive Shooting vs. Marksmanship
This is a follow-up course to Introduction to Handguns – The Basics.
In this course the participants learn the difference between defensive shooting and Marksmanship.
· Review the safe handling techniques for single and double-action revolvers and semiautomatic handguns.
· Review the Safe Handgun Shooting Fundamentals and the basic principles of safe handgun shooting
· Review the proper storage practices for handguns to ensure child safety.
· Gain practical experience utilizing a SIRT pistol to observe the difference between defensive shooting and marksmanship shooting.

Concealed Carry Fundamentals
Concealed Carry Fundamentals is a comprehensive course for anyone considering carrying a firearm. Using USCCA curriculum the course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness. Along with home security and home defense; shooting fundamentals and the need for ongoing training.
Class length minimum of 15 hours, including range time

Concealed Carry 2 Year Refresher
Using a blend of the USCCA curriculum and the NM DPS standard curriculum the course covers the understanding of conflict avoidance and situational awareness; firearm safety; the importance of ongoing training.
Class length minimum of 2 hours

Concealed Carry 4 year renewal.
